325 ARTISANS BENEFIT FROM YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AGENCY (YEA) MODULE IN KUMASI
A total of 325 artisans in Kumasi have received equipment to startup various businesses under a Youth Employment Agency (YEA)Module. The Artisans, who have undergone a 6-month training at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) in various fields including beauty care, plumbing, welding and fabrication, electricals, auto works as well as glazing and POP were presented with corresponding tools and accessories to start their own businesses.
Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Sam Pyne who presented the equipment to the beneficiaries congratulated them on the completion of their training. He underscored the critical role Technical and Vocational Training(TVET) plays in the socio-economic development of the country, saying, it is a key driver for development.
Hon. Samuel Pyne admonished the beneficiaries to maintain the equipment to ensure their longevity for future works.
