4TH EDITION OF GREEN GHANA DAY TREE PLANTING EXERCISE MARKED IN KUMASI

The 4th edition of the Green Ghana Day tree planting exercise has been marked in Kumasi with a symbolic planting of coconut and mango seedlings at the Islamic Senior High School at Abrepo by the Chairman of the Green Ghana Project and the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio.

The Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko; the Presiding Member of KMA, Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong; and the Regional Director of Forestry Commission, Mr. Clement Omari also took their turns to plant their trees in the school.

Mr. Francis Dwira Darko in a short speech said the Green Ghana Day which started in 2021, is marked on the first Friday of June each year and that the Assembly decided to plant a symbolic tree for the 4thedition in the school and later metro wide.
