This is to identify the state of the parking yard (terminal), and put into shape areas which needed rehabilitation.

He said he would recommend through the Ashanti Regional Minister to the Ministry of Transport for the auctioning of the old vehicles in the yard which could be described as scrap.

Such vehicles, he observed, occupied a large portion of the yard and it was high time government disposed them to create space for new buses to have parking space.

He assured the staff that government was aware of some of the challenges that confronted them, and was working hard to improve upon their working conditions.

Mr. Nicholas Oduro, the Ashanti Regional Manager of the MMT Depot hinted that the MMT Kumasi Depot was expecting 20 new buses.

This is to increase their fleet of buses to about 83.
