BECE takes of smoothly in Kumasi metro

This year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) took off smoothly in the Kumasi metropolis where a total population of 23,176 students comprising 11,306 males and 11,870 females from 508 schools sat for the exams in 87 centers.

Touring some examination centers in the metropolis, the Kumasi Mayor Hon. Kojo Bonsu urged the candidates to put in their best.

He also advised them not to engage in examination malpractices which could lead to cancellation of their papers and jeopardize their future.
