Kumasi Mayor urges NABCO beneficiaries to be committed to their duties

Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi,   Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has urged beneficiaries of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme to be loyal in the discharge of their duties in order to archive the objectives of the programme. 

He advise the trainees to be discipline and hold on to their integrity as they go out to discharge their duties. He further stressed that the trainees shouldn't only focus on the allowance to be paid to them but rather focus on knowledge acquisition as training courses will be organized each month to equip the NABCO beneficiaries.

NABCO was launched by President Akuffo-Addo on Tuesday May, 1, 2018 in Kumasi as an initiative to employ hundred thousand (100,000) unemployed graduates in the country.


The programme according to the President is to be operated under seven modules designed to meet the pressing needs of the nation, while providing jobs for the youth who have received tertiary education but are struggling to find jobs.

The beneficiaries will be engaged for three (3) years, and they will be earning a monthly allowance of seven hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢700.00) each.

The modules are Feed Ghana, Educate Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Heal Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, Digitize Ghana and Governance Ghana.

The Mayor of Kumasi again revealed that the Assembly registered t 1,500 trainees under NABCO on the day of the registration.  He said, the Revenue Ghana recorded  (403) , Civic Ghana 227,Educate Ghana  226, Digitize Ghana 182, Enterprise Ghana 119, Feed Ghana 60 while Heal Ghana had the lowest number of successful which was 41.

He also said 241 of the trainees were still pending waiting list as on the day of the registration. 

He noted that all the trainees are expected to start work in the Kumasi metropolis soon after they have fully completed their registration processes.
