KMA INAUGURATE DIGITAL PROPERTY ADRESSING SYSTEM (DPAS)
Aspart of government efforts to digitize the economy, several I.T. enabled interventionsare being pursed to realize this broad vision.
Prominentamong those interventions is the Ghana Post Address System.
OnWednesday 14th August 2019, the committee to oversee to theimplementation of the property Addressing agenda in Kumasi was inaugurated andthe trainees who are NABCO beneficiaries were also introduced at the KMA ConferenceRoom.
TheChairman of the implementation committee who doubles as the Mayor of Kumasi,Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi admonished the trainees on the need to be committed tothe assignment and eschew all forms of laziness as the project is time bound.
Hon.Assibey, charged the trainees to cultivate the art of sacrifice and tolerancein building the nation and avoid partisan politics in the discharge of theirassigned duties.
Addinghis voice to the call was Christian Kusi Ampofo, Metro NABCO coordinator, saidKumasi Metropolitan Assembly would be working with 100 NABCO trainees inperforming this task as it is expected to create an avenue to new business andindustry players.
TheDPAS will enhance directional requirement of ambulance service, emergencyHealth care, effective security service, e-commerce, and financial service. Therest are revenue mobilization, formalization of the economy and improvedgeneral delivery of service.
Mr.Kwasi Agyeman, the Metro Director of Development Planning tasked the committeeto work to satisfaction and called on the NABCO trainees to support the projectwholeheartedly to achieve the set objectives.
