KINAPHARMA DONATES TO KMA

A leading pharmaceutical company, KINAPHARMA limited, has donated 20 gallons of SAFEWAY HAND SANITIZER to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) on Monday 6thApril, 2020.

The gesture, according to the Assistant General Manager of the company for the Northern Sector, Faiz Sidiqui, was part of their corporate social responsibility especially during the outbreak of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the company was touched by the effort sof the Assembly towards the outbreak and prevention of the Corona Virus in the metropolis.

Mr. Sidiqui explained that the Safeway Hand Sanitizers were one of the few hand sanitizers in the market that has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).

He added that the company does not produce hand sanitizers so they decided to buy the best in the market to support the KMA since they knew pressure would be on the shoulders of the Assembly in this crisis.

Receiving the hand sanitizers on behalf of the Metro Chief Executive, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi, the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Akuamoah Boateng expressed profound appreciation to the company for the gesture.

He said there was a lot of pressure on the KMA and that the donation was timely since it would go a long way to augment the efforts of the Assembly.

Mr. Akuamoah Boateng appealed to other entities and philanthropists to emulate the gesture and support the KMA.
