THREE HOSPITALS IN KUMASI RECEIVES MEDICAL LOGISTICS FROM KMA
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) hasdonated medical logistics to 3 hospitals in the Kumasi Metropolis on FridayApril 24th, 2020, a move to increase personal hygiene and fight againstthe Corona Virus pandemic.
The items included sanitizers, tissue papers,sunlight soaps, veronica buckets and basins.
Fankyenebra Hospital, a private healthfacility, received 2 boxes of Sunlight Soap, 8 pieces of tissue paper, 10pieces of sanitizer, 4 veronica buckets and 4 basins.
Suntreso Hospital and Manhyia DistrictHospital received 20 pieces of tissue paper, 26 pieces of sanitizers, 3 boxesof sunlight soap, 8 veronica buckets and 8 basins respectively.
Presenting the items on behalf of the KMA,the Presiding Member, Hon. Stephen Ofori said the Assembly was keen in ensuringthat Hospitals in the Kumasi Metropolis were equipped to deal with thecontainment of the Corona Virus pandemic and also promoting personal hygiene inthe City.
Dr. Eric Appiah, a medical sinologist at theFankyenebra Hospital after receiving their items, recommended the KMA forsupporting the private health facility, saying, they were always left out whenit comes to government donations to medical facilities.
The Deputy Director of Nursing Services,Gladys Abbam received the items for Manhyia District Hospital whiles Dr. AgyarkoPoku, a Medical superintendent, received the items for Suntreso Hospital.
