KUMASI CENTRAL PRISONS RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM KMA.
The Female Prison of the Kumasi Central Prisons has received medical items from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) recently.
The items include 100 crates of eggs, 6 boxes of liquid soap, 2 boxes of 3kg powdered detergents, 20 packs of toilet rolls, 1 gallon of hand sanitizer and 2 bags of Gari. The rest were 1 bag of beans, 6 pieces of veronica buckets and 6 pieces of stand and washing basins respectively.
The donation was done on behalf of the KMA by Mr. Isaac Basanyin, the Metro Environmental Health Officer. According to him, the gesture was to help improve the lives of the inmates during these difficult times and also to help improve their personal hygiene.
DSP Vera Dzekle, who received the items, expressed appreciation to the Kumasi Mayor, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi for coming to their aid. She noted that the gesture would go a long way to enhance the lives of the inmates and also support the smooth running of the administration of the Female Prison facility.
