KUMASI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY DONATES HAND WASHING MACHINE TO KMA
The Kumasi Technical University has donated a foot operated hand washing machine to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) on Tuesday August 25th, 2020.
The donation, according to Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye, the registrar of the school, forms part of their corporate social responsibility in this Covid -19 era.
According to him, the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University, headed by Dr. Joseph Xavier Riberio and Madam Abena Obiri Yeboah, were tasked to come out with a mobile hand washing machine since the outbreak of the novel corona virus.
He called on government and other corporate institutions to support the University to produce more of the machines.
Receiving the machines on behalf of the Kumasi Mayor, the Metro Coordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Akuamoah Boateng thanked the school for the gesture and called for a close collaboration between the KMA and the University.
