KUMASI METROPOLITAN ASSEMBLY HOLDS SPECIAL MEETING FOR 2024 ACTION PLAN AND BUDGET REVIEW

In the quest to promote local governance and development, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) organized a special meeting at the Prempeh Assembly Hall to review and discuss its Action Plan and Budget for the 2024 fiscal year. 

This was to provide Assembly members and technocrats with the opportunity to brainstorm on the Action Plan and Budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the city's development objectives and needs.

The meeting was attended by Assembly members, departmental heads, and unit heads.

They spent time critically evaluating the 2024 plan and budgetary provisions, contributing to shaping it in line with the Assembly's agenda.

There viewed 2024 plan presented to the Assembly by Mr. Charles Kwasi Adjei, Metro Planning Officer, primarily focuses on infrastructure development and staff capacity building, while the revised budget presented by Mr. Eric Nunoo, a Budget Analyst centered on income and expenditures from internally generated funds, grants, and other sources of income for the Assembly. 

After the meeting, the Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Samuel Pyne, provided an update on ongoing projects to the media.

He mentioned that the Agenda 111 Hospital Project at Bohyen Ampabame and other developmental initiatives in the metropolis were steadily progressing.

"These projects are crucial for Kumasi's development, and we are committed to ensuring their timely completion and effective implementation," Hon. Pyne noted.

Presiding Member (PM) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, used the opportunity to urge the public to promote good sanitation practices.

Heurged residents of Kumasi to keep their environment clean.

 "We are all responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment. It's imperative that we support sanitation efforts to enhance our quality of life," PM stated.
