KMA BOSS TOURS BECE EXAMS CENTRES

Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi visited some BECE centres today 11th June, 2025to observe what challenges are emanating and find solutions to them and also to encourage and motivate the candidates.

At all the centres Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi encouraged the candidates to be confident that they can recall what they have learnt when they meet questions on them, adding that, their ambition to be who they want to be in future hinges on the exams they were writing. 

He advised them to eschew any form of examination malpractices and comport themselves to avoid any cancellation of their papers.

“This examination marks the beginning of your careers. How you perform will determine your future," Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi advised.

The Metro Director of Education, Mr. David Oppong also entreated the candidates to be courageous, since according to him, the exams was based on what they have already learnt in school. 

He advised the students to avoid engaging in any unhealthy lifestyle during this crucial period to be able to finish writing all the examination papers.

Hon. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi was joined by Mr. David Oppong, Metro Education Director; Miss Henrietta Aboagye, PRO, KMA and Madam Judith Mensah Bamford, Metro Education Head of Planning Unit during his tour of the exam centres.

A total of 9,846 candidates are writing the 2025 BECE in the Kumasi Metropolis at35 centres with 4,693 boys and 5,153 girls from 95 public schools and 139private schools. There are also 5 candidates from the reformation school at Central Police Station writing the 2025 BECE.

Examination centres visited by the Mayor of Kumasi and his entourage include Opoku Senior High School, Adventist Day Senior High School, Asanteman Senior High School, and Serwaa Nyarko Senior High School.
