KMA ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PREPARATION OF 2026-2029 MEDIUM TERM DEVELOPMENT PLAN

In line with the guideline provided by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) for the preparation of the 2026-2029Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP), the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly undertook a field visit to the 12 Town Councils under the five Sub-Metropolitan District Councils in the metropolis on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22ndJuly, 2025.

The visit was to engage stakeholders in the identification of development issues and needs, as part of efforts to ensure that the 2026-2029 Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) reflects the true aspirations and felt needs of the people.

Stakeholders at this important engagement were Assembly members, Town Council members, Unit Committee Members, and Traditional leaders.

Others included the clergy, youth groups, women representatives, health reps, teachers, representatives from the Disability groups, Landlord Associations, Sub-Metro officers, and other key community actors.
