INAUGURATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE RECONSTITUTED MANAGEMENT BOARD OF KUMASI CITY MARKET LIMITED
Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, today swore in members of the reconstituted Management Board of Kumasi City Market Limited at the Rich Condos Conference Room in Kumasi.
In his address, the Minister congratulated the Board members on their appointment and charged them to provide strong vision and strategic direction for the effective management of the facility. He urged them to consolidate the gains made, address existing gaps, and reposition the market to reflect the vibrant commercial identity of Kumasi.
He emphasized that trade remains central to the President’s economic transformation agenda, particularly through the introduction of the 24-Hour Economy policy aimed at boosting businesses and enhancing productivity nationwide. He further noted that government support mechanisms are being leveraged by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to accelerate ongoing works at the Krofrom Market and strengthen trading infrastructure within the metropolis.
The Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, who chairs the Board, expressed gratitude to the Regional Minister for inaugurating the Board and reaffirmed the members’ commitment to delivering impactful leadership that will enhance operations at the Kumasi City Market and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the city.
