KMA REVIEWS PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT AGENDA AT GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) held a two-day general assembly meeting on May 25-26, 2026, at the Prempeh Assembly Hall to review its performance and chart the next phase of development for the metropolis.
The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi presented a reports detailing key milestones achieved across governance, infrastructure, revenue mobilization, and sanitation since he assumed office in April, 2025.
Major topical areas included:
1. Deepening Decentralisation and Accountability
2. Infrastructure and Urban Management
3. Revenue and Digital Reforms
4. Sanitation and Environmental Action
5. Development Projects and Transport
Assembly members at the meeting reviewed the initiatives and discussed priorities for the next phase of the Assembly’s development agenda for Kumasi.
The meeting was chaired by Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, Presiding Member of the Assembly. With him were Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi and Mr. Francis Dwira Darko, Metro Coordinating Director.
