PRESENTATION OF SCHOOL DESKS TO THE ADUM PRESBYTERIAN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.

The Kumasi Mayor Hon. Samuel Pyne has presented 500 desks to the some basic schools within the metropolis on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Adum Presbyterian Junior High School forecourt. This according to the mayor was a project initiated by the Assembly last year of which 4000 desks were distributed.

He indicated, that, the Assembly has just begun distribution for the year and it is all geared towards resourcing schools within Kumasi metro to make teaching and learning effective.

The distribution catered for 11 schools with more in the pipelines for the rest. The   beneficiary schools are State Experimental M/A Basics 1and 2, Al-Huda Islamic Basic, St. Augustine’s Anglican Primary, Sokoban Methodist Primary & JHS, Wesco Demonstration and Opoku Ware M/A Primary. The rest are Ave Maria R/C, St. Paul`s R/C Primary, Amankwatia Basic B and Adum Presby JHS. 

Hon. Samuel Pyne advised the school to adopt a good maintenance culture and encouraged the pupil to make good use of the knowledge they are acquiring to bring positive impact into the society in the future.

He also assured the school authorities that aside distribution of the desks, there are other programs laid down which will help the educational sector.

The brief ceremony was witness by the Metro Education Directorate who received the desks on the behalf of the beneficiary schools.

Madam Rebecca Osei Tutu, the officer in-charge of stores at the Metro Education Directorate and a representative of the Metro Director of Education thanked the mayor for prioritizing education. She added that the gesture would go a long way to help the schools and promised to keep the desks well for their own seek.
