RCC, KMA donate food items to Muslims

    The Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council  and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly have donated items to the Muslim community at the Central Mosque towards the Ramadan season.

    The items include 50 bags of lipton tea and 50 bags of sugar.

    The Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. John  Alexander Ackon made the donation on behalf of the President John Mahama to the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam and his elders in Kumasi.

    Speaking at the function Mr. Ackon said the donation was meant to encourage the muslims to pray for Ghana for Allah to see Ghanaian through this year's presidential and parliamentary elections.

    He underscored the need for Ghanaians to remain united toward nation building even after the election.

    Mr. Ackon commended the leadership of the Muslim community for their level-headedness and intervention during the violence between the Zongo Youth and the Youth of Tafo.

    The Regional Chief Imam Alhaji Abdul Mumuni Haron commended the President for the items
