PREMPEH ASSEMBLY HALL CLOSED DOWN FOR RENOVATION WORKS.

The Prempeh Assembly hall in Kumasi has been close for renovations works to begin. The refurbishment of  the 67 year-old assembly hall will involves the extension of the gallery, fixing of new roof, changing of electrical cables and fixing of modern air conditioners as well as installation of state of  the art equipment to give the facility a newlook befitting the status of Kumasi.

 According tothe Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Kojo Bonsu, who visited the assembly hall with thecontractor and other stakeholders to inspect and formally hand over the hallfor works to kick start, the facility when completed would serve the people inKumasi in hosting bigger events, such as concert, conferences, cinemas, theatreand at the same time serve as a tourism destination to raise revenue for theKumasi Metropolitan Assembly(KMA).

 He said theGH1.5 million projects is expected to be completed in six months and charge thecontractors, Consar Limited to efficiently execute the project to raise theageing edifice to international status.
